Day 28: St. Joseph, MO. Rest Day. 

Well, as predicted, I am taking a rest day here in St. Jo's. Despite
getting to bed stupid late, I actually woke up early enough to leave for
Topeka. But of course, I lay in bed anyway. Whatever. 

I really didn't do much at all today. I didn't even leave the hotel. I
did laundry, had lunch, and played around on the computer. It was fairly
restful. I feel kinda bad taking a rest day so soon after the last, but
not bad enough to stop me. I'm making pretty darn good time, so I'm not
particularly worried. 

I'm planning on going a bit south after Topeka, to meet up with the ACA
route. Hopefully I'll find some other CC riders; it is the middle of the
summer and I'm in the middle of the country, so I should hit people
going both ways. It might be nice to have some riding company for a
while, but I'm not counting on it. What would be even nicer is someone
to come kick me out of bed every morning. They don't have to ride with
me, they just have to be a human alarm clock. Of course, this is not an
easy task at all, I've pretty much given up on getting people to wake me
up. I guess I'm just not a getting out of bed sort of person.
