FTSO Headwinds!!! No, really. Today had some vicious winds. Oof!
Still, I did OK. I think tomorrow will be a short day (I keep saying
that, hopefully I mean it this time). I'll get myself into as good a
position to cross the desert as possible, then...

I didn't need to backtrack as predicted this morning, a local told me
how to cut over to US-89. 

I'm at the house of the Gurney's, old friends of my
parents. Unfortunately, they have absolutely no embarrassing stories
about them. I'm very disappointed. They have, however, been fine
hosts, so I forgive them. 

One note about about headwinds, I decided to take down my safety
flags, for aerodynamics. It actually helped a lot (or, at least,
seemed too). I may leave them down for a while. I'm still pretty
visible without them and every little bit helps.
